Setting standards
Allegient Systems has been part of the standard-setting oversight committee within the legal community since its inception and is fully compliant with the LEDES (Legal Electronic Data Exchange Standard) file format used throughout the industry. Allegient Systems sits on the LEDES board and works actively on improving and implementing improved standards and applications. Allegient also subscribes to the Uniform Task-Based Management System (UTBMS), a budgeting and billing system designed to provide clients and law firms with meaningful cost information on legal services. UTBMS was developed by the American Bar Association Section of Litigation, the American Corporate Counsel Association, and a group of major corporate clients and law firms coordinated and supported by Price Waterhouse LLP.
